Lafia-based FC Basira’s impressive rise to prominence continues as two of its standout players, Timothy Sule and Usman Usman, receive call-ups to the Super Eagles CHAN team camp.
The duo played pivotal roles in FC Basira’s promotion to the second tier of Nigerian football and their NLO Afriskaut Cup triumph. Their performances caught the attention of national team coaches, paving the way for this historic call-up.

Usman Usman, a versatile winger-forward, was a revelation in the tournament, showcasing his skills as FC Basira secured an NNL spot in Abuja. His ability to play multiple positions adds depth to the Super Eagles’ attack.

Timothy Sule, a skilled deep-lying midfielder, complemented Usman’s attacking flair, helping the team overcome First Bank FC of Lagos in the NLO Afriskaut Cup final. His vision and passing range make him an asset to the national team.
