CAF Champions League: Enugu Rangers Take Commanding Lead Against Zilimadjou

Nigeria’s champions, Enugu Rangers, also known as the ‘Flying Antelopes’, are on the brink of securing a spot in the second round of the CAF Champions League. They achieved a crucial 1-0 victory over Zilimadjou of Comoros Island in Uyo, despite playing away from home.
The solitary goal was scored by Uwumiro Frank in the 22nd minute, giving Enugu Rangers a vital advantage. Interestingly, Zilimadjou opted to play their home match at the Godswil Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, as they do not have an approved home ground.

The return leg, now designated as Enugu Rangers’ home match, will also take place at the same venue on Friday. With this win, the ‘Flying Antelopes’ are poised to advance to the next round, bolstering their chances of success in the CAF Champions League.
