‘We Will Open Keffi Market In A Few Months’ – Gov Sule
Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi A Sule has said the Keffi neighborhood market and Keffi square are scheduled to be commissioned for use in a few months.
He revealed this while speaking during a town hall meeting with stakeholders and party supporters in Keffi Local Government Area on Friday May 21, 2021.
The town hall meeting which is part of activities marking the second anniversary of his administration held at the main auditorium of the Nasarawa State University Keffi.
According to Governor Sule, his administration understands the economic importance of having a market in Keffi and the contractors are on track to deliver on schedule.
He assured that priority will be given persons who were occupying stalls in the old market.
Welcoming the Governor, Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council, Nasarawa, Alhaji Abdulrahman Maigoro appreciated Governor Sule for stepping in to renovate the Keffi market which before now suffered fire disasters almost on a yearly basis. According to him, the renovation has taken care of that problem and the citizens of Keffi are the main beneficiaries.
Recall that about a year ago when Governor Abdullahi Sule marked one year in office, he flagged off a number of projects one of which is the Keffi neighborhood market and Keffi square. He did this with a promise that the projects when completed, will boost the economic status of the people.
Earlier, before the town hall meeting, Governor Sule paid a courtesy visit on the Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness Dr Shehu Usman Chindo Yamusa III after which he inspected the ongoing Keffi neighborhood market and Keffi square.
