UEL: Osimhen Hits Brace, Iheanacho Bags Assist As Ndidi Sees Red In Napoli, Leicester City Clash
The Nigerians were on duty in the Group C fixture of the 2021/22 Europa League fixture between Leicester City and Napoli at the Kings Power Stadium in England.
Four Nigerians were in action for both sides as Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen spearheading the visitors’ attack while Wilfried Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanachó started for Leicester City with Ademola Lookman starting from the bench.
The home side started on a bright note as goals from Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes put them in a comfortable sit after just 64th minutes before a sensational brace from ex Lille Striker Victor Osimhen in the 69th and 87th minutes respectively.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi however got his marching orders after being given his second caution of the game as the referee signaled for the final whistle.
Leicester City will next be away to Legia Warsaw while Napoli will be at the Diego Maradona Stadium host Spartak Moscow
