Keana Killings: Tiv Youth Organization Condemns Keana Attack

The Tiv Youth Organization (TYO) has condemned in strong terms, the gruesome attack which led to the loss of lives and properties in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Monday June 24, 2024.

In a statement by the President of the organization on Tuesday (June 25, 2024), Comr Isaiah Audu condemned what he described as an ‘unprovoked attack’ on the Tiv people in Keana  LGA of Nasarawa State.

He said: “Many people have been reportedly killed in cold blood yesterday in Keana Town, by armed men suspected to be Alago youth.

“It is disheartening to receive the news that the innocent and law abiding citizens from Tiv extraction have been attacked and  killed in cold blood for no reason.”

The TYO President called on Nasarawa State Government, security agencies and relevant stakeholders to thoroughly investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.

While urging youth not to take laws into their hands, he appealed for peace and unity among communities to prevent violence and promote harmony.
