The Tiv and Fulani communities in Nasarawa State have commended the Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule for his efforts in securing the lives and properties of their people.
They gave the commendation during the first Nasarawa State Security Council meeting which held Wednesday January 5, 2022 at Government House, Lafia with all the heads of security agencies in attendance.
Speaking on behalf of the Tiv community in Nasarawa State, President of Tiv Development Association (TIDA), Mr. Peter Ahemba commended the Governor for the measures taken to ensure that lives and properties of the Tiv people in the State are secured.
He stressed that the Tiv community in the State are satisfied with the measures put in place by the government of Engineer Abdullahi Sule and the proactive efforts of security agencies, assuring that normalcy has been restored in the affected areas.
Also, leader of Miyetti Allah in Nasarawa State, Bala Mohammed Dabo joined in appreciating the efforts of the State Government, stressing that such proactive steps will prevent further security breaches.
The security council also acknowledged the support the various security agencies in the State have continued to enjoy from the government while calling on all stakeholders to continue being steadfast in their commitments to securing the lives and properties of the citizens of Nasarawa State.
The meeting was chaired by Governor Abdullahi Sule and also had in attendance, the Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, Secretary to the State Government, all the security chiefs in the State, the Commander Operation Whirl Stroke, the AIG Zone 4 and the Commanding Officer 177 Guards Brigade.
Also in attendance were some traditional rulers led by the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Rtd., some Local Government Chairmen as well as the representatives of the Tiv and Fulani communities in Nasarawa State.
