Swiss Government to Offer Scholarship to Nasarawa Indigenes

The government of Switzerland has expressed willingness to offer scholarship to Nasarawa indigenes.

This was revealed by the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Georg Steiner when he played host to Hon. Yusuf Jibrin Maianguwa, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule on Liaison Office Abuja at the Embassy of Switzerland in Abuja.

Mr Georg Steiner who said the scholarship will be especially in the areas of agriculture, mining and other technologies also expressed the willingness of his government to collaborate in other sectors.

Hon. Yusuf Maianguwa was at the Swiss Embassy to present the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS) document to the Swiss envoy who is also in charge of Chad and Libya.

Mr Steiner promised to peruse the document before sending it to the Consular General in Lagos for onward delivery to the Government of Switzerland.

He promised that Swiss investors were going to use the document as a guide to take advantage of the business potentials in Nasarawa State.
