Stakeholders In Keffin Wambai Endorse Hajiya Maryam Buba For House Of Assembly Come 2023

Political stakeholders in Keffin Wambai, Keffin Wambai Electoral Ward of Lafia Local Government Area have endorsed Hajiya Maryam Buba for House of Assembly come 2023 representing Lafia North.
This happened when Hajiya Maryam Buba, a grassroots politician and former Commissioner in Nasarawa State, paid a visit to Keffin Wambai her hometown for consultation.
Addressing the stakeholders in the gathering, Hajiya Maryam Buba appreciated them for turning up to listen to what she had to say.
Speaking on why she gathered them, Hajiya Maryam Buba said: “My name is Maryam Buba, the daughter of Kutsum. I was born here in Keffi Wambai. I am here for two good reasons.
“For sometime I was away. Some of our people died when I was away in my working place. For that, I am here to go round and greet.
“Secondly, I am here to express my aspiration to contest for House of Assembly to represent my good people of Lafia North at the State House of Assembly.
“I want to make a difference. A difference in terms of effective representation, make a difference in terms of impactful representation and make a difference in attracting development to our doorsteps.
“In the history of Nasarawa South Senatorial District, no woman has been elected into House of Assembly. And the only one woman to be elected into the House of Assembly was from Nasarawa North in 2007.
“I am pleading with you people to pray for the actualization of this dream. This time around, if you give me the support and I emerge victorious, you people will not regret it. Thank you.”
Our correspondent reports that the people of Keffin Wambai could not hide their joy seeing one of them vying for the position, promising to ensure the aspirant succeeds.
Some of the persons who spoke in response, outrightly endorsed Hajiya Maryam Buba.
First to endorse the movement was Mr. Irosi Audu, Wakilin Ezze Keffin Wambai who said: “This movement is our movement. You people will bear me witness here that women take care of their parents’ house more than some men do.
“You people will also bear me witness that Hajiya Maryam Buba has done a lot for Keffin Wambai. And for that, we need to support her in order to achieve this great feat.
“She is the brain behind the light we are enjoying in this community. And I believe when she gets there we are going to benefit more.
“Today I am calling and pleading with anyone that has the progress of Keffin Wambai at heart to key into this beautiful project. This is our project. And together we shall achieve it. Thank you”.
Also speaking, Danjuma Attah, ECDA Deputy Chairman Keffi Wambai enumerated reasons Keffi Wambai people should support the actualization of Hon. Hajiya Maryam Buba as member Nasarawa State House of Assembly come 2023.
He stated: “When she was Commissioner she ensured we got light in this community. We have a market because of her and I believe when she gets to the House of Assembly we are going to benefit from the dividends of democracy. By the grace of God I believe she has won her election.
“I am pleading with you people to shun politics of bitterness among ourselves and also shun money bag politicians.
“I mentioned money bag because I know some people will come with money. Please I am pleading with you people to shun it and support Hon. Hajiya Maryam Buba for the betterment of our electoral ward and the betterment of our constituency.”
Also speaking Mr. James Attah who could not hide his joy prayed for the actualization of the dream.
He called on all the well-meaning individuals from the constituency to support the actualization of Hon. Hajiya Maryam Buba Kutsum as member representing Lafia North in the House of Assembly come 2023.
