The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to face the ‘Samba Boys’ of Brazil in an international friendly in Singapore.
This announcement was made by the Brazilian football federation late on Monday via a tweet where it announced that it will play Nigeria and Senegal during the October international break in Singapore.
The match is part of Brazil’s Gillette World Tour.
The friendly match which will take place at the Singapore National Stadium will be the first time Nigeria will face Brazil since they met during opening of the Abuja National Stadium where Brazil defeated the Super Eagles 3-0. Gil, Luís Fabiano and Adriano scored the goals for La Selecao in that encounter.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) also confirmed the friendly via the Super Eagles official twitter handle where it retweeted the earlier tweet by the Brazilian football federation.
The match will serve as a good test for Nigeria as the Eagles prepare for the upcoming AFCON qualifying series which begins in November as Nigeria will host Benin Republic.
