Sierra Leone Stage Comeback To Draw Super Eagles 4-4 in AFCON Qualifier in Benin

The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone on Friday evening came back from 4-0 down to draw 4-4 against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.

A brace from Alex Iwobi and strikes from Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze gave the Super Eagles a deserving lead after 29 minutes.

But in the second half, the Leone Stars fought back through strikes from Al-Hadji Kamara and strikes from Quame Quee and Rodney Strasser.

It was the first time the Eagles were conceding four goals under coach Gernot Rohr.

Despite the draw, the Eagles still lead Group L with seven points from three games while the Leone Stars now have two points from three games.
