Richard Abimiku Appointed Benue State NOA Boss
Mr. Richard Abimiku Audu has been appointed as the new Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Benue State.
Mr. Audu who assumed office on January 2 2020, replaces Mr. Anthony Adikwu who recently retired from public service.
The new NOA boss in Benue, who is a certified National Accountant, hails from Nasarawa State. He was until his appointment, the Deputy Director (Accounts) at the National Headquarters of the Agency, Abuja.
This was revealed in a press statement signed by Mr. Godwin Adoyi, Deputy Director (Programmes) of the agency, a copy which was made available to Eggonnews in Lafia today.
Mr. Audu was the Ag. Director of the Agency in Nasarawa State in 2011, before he was moved to the national headquarters of the agency in Abuja as Deputy Director Accounts.
Mr. Richard Abimiku Audu has an HND from the Federal Polytechnic Bidda, Niger State, an MBA in Management from ATBU Bauchi and MA in Divinity from Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN) Bukuru, Jos, Plateau state.
At his maiden meeting with staff of the agency in Benue State, Mr. Audu assured them that he would demonstrate high sense of patriotism, commitment and responsibility in the discharge of his duties.
The NOA boss in the statement therefore enjoined the staff to redouble their efforts for the task ahead, even as he solicited for their cooperation and support to enable him accomplish the agency’s programmes in the state.
According to the statement, Mr. Audu disclosed that he would soon embark on familiarization visit to all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and security agencies and communities to educate the public on some of the government policies, programmes and on sustainable peace in the state.
The press statement quoted Mr. Audu’s predecessor, Mr. Anthony Adikwu as calling on the state directorate of the agency to sustain the tempo of sensitization, mobilization and enlightenment of the generality of the people of the state.
