President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has called on the people of Nasarawa State to re-elect Governor Abdullahi Sule for a second term in office so that he can continue with his transformation of the State.
He made the call during the inauguration of campaign council for the re-election bid of Engineer A A Sule in Lafia today (Saturday November 5, 2022).
The President who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari said considering the good works being done by Governor Abdullahi Sule, he was the best choice for the people of Nasarawa State come 2023.
He also expressed the desire that the All Progressives Congress (APC) retains all the positions it currently occupies and should even claim more in the forthcoming general elections.
In his remarks, the Governor of Nasarawa, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, called on all supporters of APC in Nasarawa State to be confident as their victory, come 2023, is already assured.
The Governor explained that his experience in the private sector where he crushed many competitors has made it easy for him to do same to his political opponents.
Also speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the APC and former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, said Governor Sule has kept his promise he made to the people of Nasarawa State when he was seeking for their votes before the 2019 elections.
According to Senator Adamu, the government of Engr. Sule has embarked on projects that have brought remarkable improvements to the lives of the people and so it is only right to give him a second term in office.
Another former Governor of Nasarawa State and serving Senator representing Nasarawa South, Senator Umaru Al-Makura said the APC in Nasarawa State is set to perform even better than it did in 2019 as according to him, there is no opposition in the State.
He however called on members of the campaign council to begin work immediately and ensure they sell candidates of the party to the electorate in all their activities at the grassroots and not just during rallies.
The campaign council led by its Chairman in person of Barrister Tanimu Adabson was inaugurated by the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Prof. Gambari and campaign vehicles and motorcycles were also distributed to Local Government and ward campaign coordinators respectively.
