NSCDC Parades 8 Vandals, 3 Rapists In Lafia
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command today paraded suspected 8-man gang of vandals who have been vandalizing Railway Slippers and Rail Line Irons in Nasarawa State and beyond.
Briefing newsmen while parading the suspects, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command, Muhammed Suraju Idris said they were arrested with already vandalized Rail line irons and Railway Slippers loaded in J5 vehicle with Registration number QAP 405 XA at about 1:00hr in Aridi Ajega along B-A-D in Lafia at the point of take off.

The arrest was made possible as a result of intensified surveillance on government critical infrastructures, assets and projects.
Members of the gang are: Sani Isa age, 24, Moses Sakpa 23, Zakari Ayuba 22, Allanana Kabiru 19, Zakari Sabo 20, Idris Haruna 25, Salifu Ayuba 20 and Zakari Yusuf respectively.

They all haled from Nassarawa Eggon Local Government of the State.
In their confessional statement, they admitted vandalizing Railway Slippers in different locations in the State and beyond.

They added that they were able to split the rail line irons with the use of gas welding equipments.

Also paraded was a 3-man syndicate that gang rapped a 12 years old girl, Aisha (surname withheld) in Bakin Rijiya Lafia East Development Area in Lafia.
According to Mr. Suraju, two of the suspects, Umar Ali Aso age 35 and Abdullahi Ali 40 were arrested in Bakin Rijiya while Mustapha Jibrin 30 was arrested in Wa’akwa and each confessed to have done three (3) rounds of sex on their victim.

The suspects specialized on defiling/raping of minors but luck ran out of them when they were carrying out their nefarious act with their latest victim.
Mr. Suraju said they would be charge to court as soon as the investigation is over.
