‘Nobody Booed Governor Abdullahi Sule’
A group known as the Lafia Stakeholders Forum (LSF) has come out to debunk the news making the rounds that Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule was booed by some Lafia youths during the juma’at prayers on Friday May 22, 2020.
In a press statement signed by Hon. Rayyanu Iliyasu, the Talban Lafia, it described the reports as ‘Fake News’ as “Lafia, since its existence hundreds of fruitful years ago, is well known for peace and unalloyed respect for its leaders, past and present.” The statement continues as follows: “The true story is that one of our youths shouted the names of the governor and others joined him by showering encomiums on him. We wonder how such could turned out to be booing the governor.
“On this note, we the members of this noble forum hereby flay this fake news peddled around by disgruntled people who never wished our community well.
“We humbly wish to assure the governor that we are 100% behind him and his laudable policies and programmes well designed to give Lafia, the state capital and the entire state a national outlook.
“We’re, therefore, calling on our teaming youths to support the administration of Engineer Abbdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State, to enable him succeed in his desired commitment to build the Nasarawa State of our collective dreams.
“We wish to seize this opportunity to thank the governor for appointing some of our sons and daughters into various positions.
“We wish to also congratulate the governor for clocking one year in office. The last one year has been historic and remarkable, with so many steps taking to take the state to the promised land.”
They concluded by praying for God’s guidance and strength to enable Governor Sule accomplish all his good plans for the people of Nasarawa State.
