No Reason For PDP Not To Win Elections In 2023 – Maku
Former Minister for Information, Honourable Labaran Maku has said there is no reason for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) not to win elections in Nasarawa State come 2023 as according to him, the APC has performed woefully in the years it has governed the State.
Labaran Maku who recently returned to the PDP from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was speaking when he met with members of the Nasarawa State Working Committee of the PDP at their secretariat in Lafia on Saturday (April 9, 2022).

According to the former Minister, the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State has performed so woefully that most of the projects commissioned by President Muhammdu Buhari when he came to Nasarawa State recently were initiated by the PDP.
He urged the PDP in Nasarawa State to sit up and put its house in order so that the party can emerge victorious at the polls in 2023.
On his return to PDP, Labaran Maku said he was coming to bring development to Nasarawa State and that he was not desperate for power because it is God that gives power to whomever He chooses and at the time He wants.
He said: ““As far as I know, power belongs to God. We have come to bring development and not to make name for ourselves; God has already given me the name.”
Also speaking, Nasarawa State PDP Chairman, Hon. Francis Orogu said the return of Labaran Maku to PDP only means the APC is in more trouble.
He said: “Hitherto, APGA and PDP were sharing their votes at the polls. Today we know that we will no longer share those votes.”
He commended Labaran Maku for his doggedness in remaining the voice of opposition in the State since the PDP lost the seat of power and assured that the primaries that will be organized by the party in Nasarawa State will be free, fair and transparent to all interested parties.
