NNL Super8: Nasarawa United’s Triumph a Testament to Governor’s Commitment to Sports – Hon Jafaru Ango

Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango, has attributed the success of Nasarawa United at the ongoing qualification playoffs of the Nigeria National League (NNL) to the continual support given by the Nasarawa State government led by his Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule.
Ango expressed his gratitude to God and the Governor, stating, “First of all, I have to thank the Almighty God for making a way for us, I also have to thank the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. AA Sule for being with us from the beginning of this campaign till now.”
He praised the team’s determination, saying, “Our boys, the Solid Miners, played with great determination and emerged victorious, defeating Sokoto United 2-1. By God’s grace, we are heading back to the apex of the Nigerian League divisions.”
Ango acknowledged the Governor’s investment in sports facilities, stating, “You can be rest assured that we have a capable Governor who is ready to assist the youths in every way possible. If you come to Nasarawa and take a look at the facilities we have, you’ll come to the realization that our Governor has invested heavily in them to enable our youth showcase their God-given talents.”
He emphasized the Governor’s commitment to sports development, saying, “So by the grace of God, our Excellency is with us a hundred percent. And if we look at it, Nasarawa is gradually becoming a zone for the north-central region in terms of football and sporting activities in general.”
Ango assured that the ministry will continue to support youths with sporting talents, saying, “We will continue to pull all the necessary support through the ministry to engage youths who are skillful in sporting activities.”
He concluded by expressing confidence in the team’s future success, saying, “With our Governor’s support, we are confident of a bright future for Nasarawa United and sports development in the State.”
