NLO 2020/2021 Season Kicks Off March 7 With 306 Clubs
Nationwide League One (NLO) congress on Thursday (February 18, 2021) in Abuja unanimously agreed that the registration for the 2021 season should end on Friday February 26, 2021 and the league will kick start on Sunday March 7, 2021.
According to the third tier league congress meeting in Abuja on Thursday (February 18, 2021) in compliance with COVID ’19 protocol, with only 30% attendance while 70% of congress members joined virtually via zoom, it also endorsed the zonal league format for Divisions 1 to 3 approved by the NLO board for the 2021 season.
However, NFF First Vice-President Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, commissioned the new NLO office building located at Glass House Wuse Zone 7, Abuja, commended the NLO leadership led by Alhaji Mohammed Alkali.
Akinwunmi, noted that he was pleased to be the part of the historic event of the commissioning of the befitting third tier league office.
Meanwhile, Alkali earlier in his speech said: “We all know that this new office was made possible by the top notch leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation.
“We thank the NFF Executive Committee Members for their steadfast commitment and support they have given to NLO over the years. We deeply appreciate their service to the growth of football.”
