Nigeria’s High Commissioner To Sierra Leone, His Excellency, Henry John Omaku, FCIM, has felicitated with the Muslim community across the world as they mark this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.

In a special message signed Mr. Omaku and made available to the press today (April 20, 2023), he congratulated the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr Abdullahi Sule as well as all Muslims for the successful completion of Ramadan fast and urged them not to forget the significant lessons drawn from the spiritual activities in the holy month.

“The period therefore, reminds us that there will always be great rewards when we have abiding faith and patience in trying periods; persistence in prayers and tenacity in our belief, as well as sacrifice for the progress of mankind and development of our society.

“The significance of the season should be beyond the festivities but towards a sincere commitment to righteous conducts in private and public lives. Therefore, as we celebrate this auspicious occasion, let us renew our faith in our nation and implore the Almighty Allah to restore to us, those values that place high premium on human life, love of neighbor and sharing even as we ventilate our faith in the unity of our dear country. This period requires more patience, fortitude, tolerance, endurance, patriotism and a greater willingness to make personal sacrifices for the good of all.”
