NDPHC To Complete 330/132/33KV Lafia Sub-station September
The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) Limited handling the 330/132/33KV sub-station Lafia says it would complete the project by September, 2021.
Engr. Ifealuwa Oyedele, Executive Director, Network of NDPHC made the disclosure on Thursday in Lafia while on inspection visit to access the progress of work at the sub-station.
The Executive Director expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work at the sub-station.
He said the project is one of the legacy projects of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, adding that the company had maintained its original design.
Oyedele said that the company was supposed to deliver the project before now, but had a little delay due to COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the entire world.
He explained that the company had completed more than 90 per cent of the project and was putting finishing touches to hook-up the station to national grid.
“By end of September the company would have completed the hook-up to the national grid and the inauguration would take place early September if the President approves a date,” he added.
The Executive Director of NDPHC further said all the stakeholders in the power sector are working together to see the completion of the project.
He said, when they have finish the project, the DisCo would link it up and distribute to the consumers.
He listed some benefits of the project if completed to include rapid growth in the socio-economic activities by way of attracting foreign investors who will create jobs which will eventually change the standard of living of residents in the State. (NAN)
