Nassarawa Town Agog For 40th Anniversary Of Aren Eggon
Venue for the installation of 32 title holders by the Paramount Traditional Ruler of Eggon Nation, the Aren Eggon, Dr. Bala Abaine Angbazo is set to commence.
The turbaning ceremony is part of the activities to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Aren Eggon on the throne, which will mark one of the epoc making event in the history of Eggon Land.
Already, the atmosphere in the entire Nasarawa Eggon has changed owing to the fact that, the event as such is going on, even as the traffic situation is becoming congested.
The event which is billed for 10am is already witnessing a large turn out of people from far and near, within and out the State in solidarity with the awardees as well as to witness the nature of the event.
The event is expected to be attended by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, his Deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, Governor Simon Bako Lalong the former governors of the state, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura and senator Godiya Akwashiki, who are representing the three senatorail zones of the State.
Also, those hoping to be in attendance include, the Emir of Lafia and Chairman, Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs, Justice Mohammed Sidi Bage, the Tor Tiv, Prof. James Ortese Ayatse, the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, the Aku Uka, Dr. Shekarau Angyu Musa II and host of others.
Security operatives, comprising the military, police, NSCDC and NAYES are seen taking strategic positions to ensure there is no break down of law and order.
