Nasarawa State Govt Fulfils Promise, Provides Ambulance for Lafia City Stadium

In fulfilment of its promise, the Nasarawa State Government has provided an ambulance which will be stationed at the Lafia City Stadium.
The promise was made by Governor Abdullahi Sule in the aftermath of the demise of Nasarawa United defender Chineme Martins , who slumped and died during their Match Day 23 NPFL game against Katsina United in the Lafia City Stadium which the Governor witnessed.
This reporter was at the stadium along with some other journalists today (March 18 2020) and can confirm the presence of the ambulance.
Other measures taken by the government include the engagement of two medical doctors who will be attached to the Nasarawa United team.
Governor Sule has also ordered the sprinkling of the Lafia City Stadium turf before kickoff and during halftime to give the players more comfortatble during games time and to avert future unfortunate incidences.
