Nasarawa Speaker, Senator Wadada, Dr. Vincent Paul, Others Commend Eggon Youths For Establishing Entrepreneurship School In Keffi
Eggon youths have been commended for going the path of entrepreneurship and self reliance.
Various speakers at an event organized by Eggon Youth Movement in Keffi to raise funds for the establishment of their Entrepreneurship Community School said it was the best path to follow considering the current challenges in the country.

The event which held at the ECDA hall in Tudun Amama, Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Sunday (November 3, 2024) had the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau amongst other dignitaries in attendance.
The NSHA Speaker who was particularly pleased with the efforts of the Eggon youths in Keffi, said the initiative will go a long way to give relevant skills to the youth and make them more useful to the society.

“The gesture will reduce the level of unemployment, over reliance on government, create skills and capacity for self reliance” he said.
Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau called on the Eggon ethnic group in the State to work in synergy with other ethnic groups in the state to foster unity and more development projects for the betterment of the state.
“Eggon cannot do it alone. We must work with other ethnic groups in order to achieve more development” he said.

He enjoined the leadership of EYM Keffi not to relent in making sure that the right thing is done for the realization of the project.
He added that the project, if completed would serve not only Eggons but the entire humanity.
Earlier, Senator representing Nasarawa West, Ahmed Aliyu Wada praised the Eggon youths, describing them as trailblazers.
Senator Wadada who was represented at the event by Comrade Ego Theophilus said the Eggon people, just like Igbo people, have identified that educational certificates are important but skills are even more important. Hence their drive to establish an entrepreneurship development center for Eggon youths.
He described the project as a very laudable one and promised to support them to see that the objectives are met.
Dr. Vincent Paul, a lecturer with the Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) delivered a lecture at the event during which he called on government and spirited individuals to support initiatives that awaken the entrepreneurial capabilities of the populace.
He said: “I remain a firm believer that entrepreneurship is an ordained activity that has been gifted to mankind right from the days of creation and it is the source of survival on everything across the universe. The progress of civilization to what it is today is as a result of entrepreneurial activities; societal advancement is predicated on the identification of opportunities, developing ideas from these opportunities, and transforming them into actions that generate value.”
The university don commended the Eggon youths for deciding to include even their younger ones in nursery and primary schools in the entrepreneurship education. He said “it is better to catch them young in entrepreneurship before they get enticed by social vices.”
Earlier, the Chairman Eggon Youth Movement (EYM) Keffi, Mr Danjuma Benjamin appreciated the Speaker and other guests for attending the event and said the initiative is a brainchild of the leadership aimed at building capacity and skills of the youth for a better tomorrow.
Awards were also given to the NSHA Speaker, Senator Wadada and Hon. Ovey John who represents Keffi East at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
