Man Murders Step-mum in Lafia
A 23 year old Ahmed Abdullahi has killed his step mum with a knife.
The unfortunate incident happened in Agyaragu, a town few kilometers away from Lafia town on Friday night.
Giving account of what happened, eyewitnesses revealed that Ahmed Abdullahi allegedly borrowed a knife, cut the victim on the leg after which she ran out of their house shouting for help. The assailant still followed her and hit her. He then slit her throat when she fell.
According to witnesses, she was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
Consequently, mother of the suspect had to run to safety when children of the deceased had armed themselves seeking to revenge the killing of their mother.
Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP, Ramhan Nansel confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and investigation had begun.
