Man, 73yr old apprehended for raping 3yr child in Nasarawa

A 73 year old man Ali Isah was arrested by Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), for alleged raping of three year old child in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Parading the suspect in Lafia, the State Commandant of the corps, Mohammad Mamoud Fari, told journalists in Lafia that the suspect had admitted to committing the crime.
According to him, the victim is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Karu LGA.
The Commandant however cautioned members of the public to be watchful, careful and take good care of their children, because the society is becoming more dangerous and wicked.
He however said adequate arrangements are already on ground to take the suspect to court to face the full wrath of law.
The suspect, Ali Isah, who claimed to have two wives with 11 children, confessed to the crime, but however pleaded with the concerned authorities to tamper justice with mercy in his case.
“I don’t know what came over me to have done this. I am only seeking for God’s mercy and the authorities to forgive me of the crime I have committed”, he pleaded.
