Lafia Emirate Council Sacks Son Of The Late Emir Of Lafia As Ubangari

Musa Isa Mustapha Agwai the son of the late Emir of Lafia has been relieved of his traditional title of Ubangarin Lafia by the Lafia Emirate Council.

Statement by Secretary to the Lafia Emirate Council, Rayanu Isa said the Emirate during it’s meeting on 19th November 2022 approved the immediate removal of Musa Isa Mustapha Agwai as the Ubangarin Lafia.

The statement which did not explain the reason for the sack said Usman Isa Baba who is the erstwhile Dangaladiman Lafia has now been appointed as the new Ubangarin Lafia.

Until his sack Musa Isa Mustapha Agwai was the third in command in the hierarchy of the traditional title in the Emirate.

Though, no reason was made given for the sack, feelers around the palace suggest that the relieving Musa Isa Mustapha Agwai from his position of Ubangari may not be unconnected with alleged insurbodination to the Emirate by the former Ubangari.
