Hon Samuel Akala Presents 2021 Appropriation Bill
The Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Hon. Samuel Akala Gajere, on Tuesday 15th December, 2020 presented 2021 appropriation bill before the hallowed chamber of Karu Legislative Council.
The 2021 budget, which was christened “Budget Of Transition”, is to the tune of over 5.1 billion Naira, with about 43% budgeted for recurrent expenditure and 57% for capital expenditure.
The council boss, who stated that the 2020 budget performance suffered some major setbacks occasioned by a slight decline in the monthly allocations from the federation account due to the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He added that his administration has however recorded tremendous progress in terms of service and projects amidst economic uncertainties, assuring that he will consolidate on the gains recorded by his administration in Karu so far in 2021.
Also speaking at the event, the Honourable Speaker of Karu Legislative Council, Hon. Awaje Senior Agara assured the Honourable Akala-led Executive Arm of speedy deliberation and passage of the 2021 appropriation bill in support of the work Honourable Akala is doing in Karu Local Government Area.
