Governor Sule Mourns Passage Of Close Aide Hon. Lamus
Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has mourned the passage of his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Hon. Murtala Lamus who died in Lafia on Tuesday (October 25, 2022) morning after a brief illness.
In a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mallam Ibrahim Addra, Governor Sule expressed “deep pains and sadness” over the demise of Hon. Lamus who can best be described as one of the closest aides of the Nasarawa State Governor.
The statement described Hon. Lamus as “a quiet but consummate politician, grass roots mobilizer and patriot whose love for Nasarawa State and humanity is not in question.”
The Governor also condoled with the family of the deceased and urged them to take consolation in the fact that Hon. Lamus lived a worthy life as exemplified by testimonies and the large turnout of mourners in Wamba his country home.
He prayed that Allah grants the soul of late Murtala Lamus eternal rest in Aljannat-firdausi and give his family, friends and associates the courage to bear the loss.
Hon. Murtala Lamus has since been buried in Wamba his hometown according to Islamic rites.
