Governor Sule Appoints Ubandoma As New SSG
Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi Sule has approved the appointment of Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu as Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State (SSG).
The announcement came through a press statement signed by Yakubu Lamai the Director-General, Strategic Communications and Press Affairs to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State today (Wednesday June 10, 2020).
Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (1986) from University of Maiduguri and a Bachelor of Laws (1997) from University of Jos.
Over the span of his work career, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu has served as Senior Clerical Officer in Bank of the North Ltd before becoming Education Officer II in the then Plateau State Ministry of Education (1988 to 1992).
Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu became Chairman of Lafia Local Government Council in 1999 and served in that office until 2002.
After his stint in politics, he went into private practice, serving as partner in the law firm of Doka Chambers, Principal Partner in M. U. Aliyu & Co. as well as Atafi Chambers in Lafia from 2005 until his recent appointment as SSG.
According to the press statement, “Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu as Secretary to State Government will be responsible for assisting the government of His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule to achieve its vision and objectives through the provision of advice and guidance.
“In addition, Barrister Ubandoma has overarching responsibility for the handling of government policy and superintending over the implementation of decisions and operations of government ministries, agencies and parastatals in Nasarawa State.”
Barrister Ubandoma replaces Alhaji Aliyu Tijani Ahmed who was relieved of his duties by Governor Sule on Monday June 8, 2020.
