Former Nasarawa Chief Judge, Ubangari Emerges New Aren Eggon
A former Chief Judge of the Nasarawa State High Court of Justice, Justice Ahmed Ubangari (Rtd) has emerged the new Aren Eggon and paramount ruler of the Eggon people.
The announcement was made by the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule during a meeting with members of the State’s traditional council of chiefs on Friday (May 5, 2023) at the Nasarawa State Government House in Lafia the State Capital.
Justice Ahmed Ubangari (Rtd) who was Chief Judge of the Nasarawa State High Court of Justice from 1999 to 2010 is going to fill the gap created by the demise of the former Aren Eggon, Dr. Bala Abaine Angbazo who died on July 13, 2022.
According to sources at the Government House, Justice Ahmed Ubangari was selected by two out of the three surviving kingmakers, ratified by the traditional council of chiefs and approved by the Governor.
