Federal University Of Lafia Honours Senator Al-Makura At A FESTSCHRIFT Presentation
It was all a beautiful scene when the former Governor of Nasarawa state, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, accompanied by his former deputy governor, Silas Agara, political associates, and other dignitaries arrived for a special FESTSCHRIFT presentation in honour of Senator Al-Makura.
While addressing the audience, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Sanusi Liman, commended Senator Al-Makura for his leadership style in the State. He underscored the excellent performance of Senator Al-Makura in the area of education, most especially, unflinching take off and sustainance of the University, provision of hostels, asphalt roads, etc.
He further commented that the hope of the University is that the honour would spur Al-Makura to greater performance in his endeavours.
Other speakers, like the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, further praised Senator Al-Makura for his laudable accomplishments in the area of agriculture, education and infrastructural developments.
In the same vein, the former deputy governor, Silas Agara, commended the sterling virtues of Senator Al-Makura and his passion for quality education in Nasarawa State.
The event rounded up with the unveiling of the launch of the books by the dignitaries, in which Sen. Godiya opened the floor with three (3) copies at N2m.
Replete with joy, Senator Al-Makura expressed his profound gratitude to the University for the Honor, noting the uniqueness of the institution among others.
