Family, Friends Bid Farewell To Emmanuel Akuki Amidst Free Flowing Tears And Lamentations

It was an atmosphere of lamentations and free flowing tears as family members, friends and well-wishers bid farewell to Emmanuel Dauda Akuki.
As early as 7am on Thursday (October 28, 2021), sympathizers and family members were already assembled at Dalhatu Arafat Specialist Hospital, Lafia to convey the corpse of Late Emmanuel Dauda Akuki to his home town Assakio Lafia East Development Area for final interments.
The funeral service which took place at ERCC Hopeland Assakio witnessed a huge number of mourners all weeping over the loss of the deceased especially the circumstances surrounding his untimely death.
A family member of the deceased who spoke to our correspondent described Late Emmanuel Dauda Akuki as a very responsible young man who was hard working and very friendly. He solicited for continuous prayers for the family.
The in-law of the deceased Mr Ismaila Agyo while giving testimony during the funeral, appreciated God for the life of the deceased.
According to him, Late Emmanuel Dauda Akuki has stayed with his family for the past 15 years and has never offended him.
He then prayed to God for justice to catch up with the persons responsible for the death of Emmanuel Akuki.
In his sermon at the funeral service, Very Reverend Kudu Ahmadu JP described the deceased as a young man who was simple, jovial and intelligent, saying he lived a life worthy of emulation.
The Rev who took his sermon from the Book of Ecelessiastes 8:8 he admonished Christians to always stand ready because death can come at anytime. And when it comes, no one has the power or authority to say no.
He said this death is not just a loss to the immediate family and friends but it is a big loss to the entire community at large.
He then prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
Mr Emmanuel Dauda Akuki is a graduate of Psychology from Nasarawa State University Keffi and until his demise he was studying for a Master’s Degree in Forensic and Correctional Psychology in the same university.
