EYM Visits Police IG Over Death Of SP Bako Angbashim
Not satisfied with the statement it released over the gruesome murder of SP Bako Angbashim, the Eggon Youth Movement (EYM) has paid a visit to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun.
Led by its President, Chief Isaac Kigbu, the Eggon youths sympathized with police force over the huge loss of SP Bako Angbashim in such an unfortunate manner but most painfully, is the fact that Eggon Nation lost a rare gem.
The EYM President added his voice to that of many well-meaning Nigerians to appeal to the Inspector General of Police to as a matter duty, fetch out the perpetrators of the heinous crime against Late SP Bako Angbashim.
He further said that, the late police officer was a bread winner to many in Eggon Nation and a role model to many and had left good legacies worthy of emulation. As such, the police authority may please find a way to immotalize him as well as taking charge of the responsibility of catering for his wife and children.
In his response, the IG stated that the death of his very dedicated officer was not just a huge loss to the entire Eggon Nation but the service and the country at large and that his wealth of experience were most needed at this time to rid society of crime. And that, the service would not rest until the perpetrators are brought to book.
The police boss also disclosed that his first career posting was in Akwanga Local Government Area as well as Nasarawa Eggon and other areas within Nasarawa State.
He then specially thanked the Eggon Youth Movement for being proactive, show of concern and being bold enough to come over. He further solicited for cooperation, support and synergy with EYM to get to the root of the matter.
It will be recalled that, the late SP Bako Angbashim was gruesomely murdered on the 8th September, 2023 by an outlawed cult group in Ahoada North Local Government Area of Rivers State.
In company of the EYM President were other national EYM officials as well as some elders of the association including the immediate past EYM President, Comrade Daniel Anyuabaga and Elder David Yerima.
