The President of Eggon Youth Movement (EYM), Ambassador Isaac Kigbu (Turakin Duglu) has celebrated Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary with the vulnerable in Etsipi Community, Kagbu B, Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The celebration begun with donation of 150 plastic chairs to the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) LCC, Etsipi and climaxed with donations of valuable items such as wrappers, seasoning (maggi) and salt to the needy in order to ameliorate the struggles of members of the community especially in the current economy of the country.
The EYM President who is well known for his philanthropy, charged other individuals in the society to provide succor to their people in order to reduce the hardship in the country.
“What prompted me to share wrappers, seasoning (maggi) and salt to the vulnerable in Etsipi today is to ease the hardship people are undergoing now.
“School has resumed and I understand many parents don’t have enough money to purchase foodstuff and also send their children to school. For that I felt I should do something in the form of palliatives that will ease the hardship and will make them to save money to send their children to school.
“The wrapper, maggi and salt giving to them will reduce their struggles and will make them save to pay their children’s school fees and also do other things that will help their lives.”
Speaking on behalf of the community, Elder Alaku Avreson and also speaking on behalf of the recipients Mrs. Elizabeth Emmanuel – Secretary Etsipi Women Association, both appreciated the donor Ambassador Isaac Ali Kigbu for the gift and implored God to exalt the EYM President beyond his expectations.
They urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items they have received while pleading with other spirited individuals in the society to emulate Ambassador Isaac Kigbu especially with the current economic hardship occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy.
In his remark, the Pastor of ERCC LCC Etsipi, Pastor Gojen Mallu commended the EYM President for the donations and encouraged him to sustain the tempo of giving because givers never lacks.
