Emmanuel Alidzi Bows Out From Nasarawa State Civil Service

Mr. Emmanuel Alidzi has bowed out of the Nasarawa State Civil Service after 35 years of meritorious service to the State during which he rose to the rank of Permanent Secretary.

In a brief ceremony organized by the Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning where he was serving at the time of his retirement, management and staff of the ministry extolled the virtues of the now retired Permanent Secretary.

Munira Abdullahi, the Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Planning in her remarks during the ceremony, congratulated the retired Permanent Secretary for the services rendered to the State and thanked him for demonstrating capacity and competency in discharging his duties.

“The Permanent Secretary, while serving the State, did his work diligently without fear or favour. We had cause to agree and disagree over times on some issues, because I have a different opinion and he has his own opinion. But he would stand his ground on what he knows and what he understands and I will do the same.

“So, I find it very necessary to applaud somebody that has demonstrated great capacity and competency in the execution of his work.

“And this is the type of capacity that I expect to see us perform in the ministry. If most of us can be like him (the retired Permanent Secretary Alidzi), then the ministry will be better for the good of all.”

While commending him for passing down knowledge to those behind, Munira urged him to leave his door open, saying he would be called upon when his services are needed.

Emmanuel Alidzi, the Permanent Secretary, expressed gratitude to God for granting sound health at retirement, and prayed God to accord those in service such privileges to retire successfully.

Alidzi also thanked staff of the ministry for the support while in service, and called on them to accord same cooperation to the covering permanent secretary to enable him succeed.

Highlights of the event was the official handing over to the Director of Administration and Supply, Abdul-Rahman Umar Ose, as well as the cutting of retirement cake in honour of the retiree.
