Emir Of Kano Pays Homage To Aren Eggon, Wishes Him A Long, Prosperous Reign
The 15th Emir of Kano, HRH Dr. Aminu Ado Bayero has paid homage to the Aren Eggon and paramount ruler of the Eggon people, HRH Justice Ahmed Ubangari Rtd at his palace in Nassarawa Eggon town.
The Emir of Kano, who was accompanied by the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad 1 was received by a mammoth crowd consisting of prominent sons and daughters of Eggon land as well as the popular Anzalu Dancers.
In his remarks at the palace of the Aren Eggon, the Emir of Kano HRH Dr Aminu Ado Bayero was full of gratitude to the Eggon people for the warm welcome and congratulated Justice Ahmed Ubangari on his emergence as Aren Eggon.
The Kano monarch charged the new Aren Eggon to be fair to all his subjects and rule with the fear of God his heart.
Also speaking at the palace of the Aren Eggon was the Emir of Lafia and Chairman Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs who thanked the Emir of Kano for accepting his request to pay homage to the Aren Eggon.
The Emir of Lafia explained that he personally requested that the Emir of Kano (should) visit the Aren Eggon considering the prominence of the Eggon people in Nasarawa State and also the fact that Justice Ahmed Ubangari only recently ascended the throne as Aren Eggon.
Earlier in his own speech, the Aren Eggon, Justice Ahmed Ubangari was full of gratitude to the Emir of Kano.
He described the visit as a huge honour to the Eggon people and hoped that it would further strengthen their bond with the people of Kano.
As a gesture to show appreciation, the Aren Eggon presented gifts to the Emir of Kano.
Some of the gifts include the Eggon traditional attire, handmade palm oil and groundnut oil as well as Ebyekpyen.
