Eggon In Lafia Celebrate New Year In Grand Style
Eggon people in Lafia trooped out in their numbers to celebrate the end of the year 2019 and the coming of the new year 2020 in Grand style.
The ECDA ground located at Shinge Road, Lafia was filled to capacity as Eggon people – the elderly, the youth and children (male and female), both Muslims and Christians danced their hearts out.
Speaking to Eggonnews on the side line of the celebration, the Secretary of the Lafia branch of ECDA said it is a tradition for the Eggon people in Lafia to mark the end of the year and the coming of the New Year every year, adding that the celebration would last for two (2) days which is 2nd and 3rd January, 2020.
He added that the essence of the gathering is to appreciate God for the outgone year and for making then see another year.
The Lafia ECDA scribe also expressed the hope that the occasion would promote unity, love and togetherness amongst Eggon people, therefore calling on the Eggon people to sustain the love and peace they are known for.
