Dr Kigbu Inducted As Fellow West African College Of Obstetrics And Gynecology

Former federal legislator representing Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Joseph Haruna Kigbu, has been inducted as Fellow of the West African College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Hon. Dr. Kigbu who is also the CEO of Doctors On The Move Africa (DOTMA) was inducted today (Friday August 30, 2024) in Lagos, Nigeria.

Hon Dr Kigbu having practised as a medical doctor for 34 years and as Specialist Obstetrician & Gynecologist for over 20 years both in Nigeria and the West African Subregion has distinguished himself in both public health and clinical medicine pioneering Doctors On The Move Africa where he and colleagues have performed over 450,000 surgeries and over 2 million patients treatment successfully in the last 19 years has today joined the elitist club of erudite medical scientists and have been Awarded a pioneer fellowship of the West African College of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (FWACOG).

His numerous patients and admirers salute his doggedness and passion in sharing his knowledge, skills and talents with the vulnerable people’s of Africa.

Explaining the award to Eggonnews, Dr Kigbu said: “It is a Foundation Fellowship for the first time in West Africa. What we had before now was a general body called the West African College of Surgeons.
71 of us specialists make The pioneer fellows of the College in West Africa.”
