By Princess Jessica Emmanuel

Christian youths in Nasarawa State have been charged to unite for the sake of the progress of the State.

The charge was given by the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon. Samuel Kafu Emgba when he played host to officials of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) in Nasarawa State today (May 17, 2024).

Addressing the youth leaders, the Honourable Commissioner urged them to organize programs and activities that will bring Christian youths in Nasarawa State together and even improve their capacity to contribute meaningfully to the society.

He suggested activities such as seminars, workshops and trainings that could create a bond of fellowship amongst the youths and also impact in them skills that will make them self reliant.

Hon Emgba appreciated the leadership of YOWICAN for finding time to pay him a visit and assured them that he will continue to support the association as much as possible.

In his remarks, the Nasarawa State YOWICAN Chairman, Amb. Solomon Inusa Akpaho, informed the Commissioner that the youth leaders decided to pay him a visit to congratulate on his emergence as Commissioner for Science and Technology.

The YOWICAN Chairman urged the Commissioner to look at his responsibility in the Nasarawa State Executive Council as a service to God and do it with all his power and might. He assured him that God will reward him for every effort he puts into the job.

He prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the Commissioner, saying the youths will continue to pray for him and support him where necessary.

The Nasarawa State YOWICAN also presented a gift of a portrait to the Honourable Commissioner as a gesture of goodwill. This was well appreciated by the Commissioner.
