Breaking: President Tinubu Nominates Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim From Nasarawa State, El-Rufai, Wike, 25 Others As Ministers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent a list containing the name of former Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Mrs. Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, who hails from Keffi LGA, Nasarawa State, and 27 other names as ministerial nominees to the Nigerian Senate.

In a letter delivered by the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Thursday (July 27, 2023) afternoon, President Tinubu nominated a total 28 persons including four former Governors to serve as Ministers in the Federal Executive Council. Nyesom Wike, Nasir El-Rufai, Badaru Abubakar and David Umahi are prominent on the list.

There are also a total of seven females on the list including the National APC Women Leader Dr. Berta Edu, Mrs. Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, Barr. Hannatu Musawa, Hon. Stella Okotette, Dr. Dorris Aniche Uzoka, Hon. Uju Kennedy Ohaneye and Hon. Nkiru Onyejiocha.

Other names on the list includes Mr. Dele Alake, Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa, Chief Uche Nnaji, Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Mr. Bello Muhammad, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi SAN and Mr. Muhammad Idris.

The names of Senator Abubakar Kyari, Mr. Olawale Edun, Prof. Ali Pate, Mr. Waheed Adelabu, Senator John Eno, Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi and Prof. Joseph Utsev.

From all indications the list submitted to the senate is not exhaustive as more nominations are being expected from the president in the coming days.
