Basira Brings The World To Nasarawa State
The word ‘Basira’ in hausa language means intelligence and it is not a surprise that it is one man that is filled with love for his people that is intelligently moving moving Nasarawa State to the global map of the sporting world.
Until 2016, when it comes to football and Nasarawa State, people would only mention Nasarawa United, Nasarawa Amazons and the now defunct Aklosendi Intl FC.
But in less than 4 years, an unknown team by name FC Basira has grown from the roadside club to what many will term as one of the most popular privately owned club sides in the entire North Central region.
The biggest graduate of this institution is none other than Ibrahim Sunusi who was groomed by FC Basira before joining CF Montreal in the MLS.
The duo of Anas Yusuf and Galadima Mohammed who are currently with Wikki Tourists of Bauchi are also players that have passed through the FC Basira family, so the team is known to discover and groom talents.
The man behind all these beautiful stories is the Basira himself, Alhaji Salisu Galadima who has found love in grassroot football.
Recently, Basira paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, HE Engr. A.A Sule and with him were some Spanish scouts who are on a working visits to Nasarawa State, a move that was facilitated by Salisu Galadima.
These foreign scouts will be on ground to scout for the best legs in a scouting program hosted by Salisu Galadima himself.
The train also moved to the Spanish Embassy in Abuja were the Ambassador of Spain to Nigeria, Juan Ignacio Sell welcomed the delegates and also disclosed his happiness over the symbiotic relationship between the Spain and the good people of Nasarawa State.
The scouting event will commence on Tuesday 26th of July and run through the 31st of the same month while players selected from this scout program will sign mega deals with top European teams.
Basira is the man that has the interests of the youths at heart.
