Aren Eggon Confers 35 Traditional Titles

The Aren Eggon, and President Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Traditional Council, Hon. Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku I, (Rtd) OFR, has conferred 35 Eggon sons and daughters with Traditional Titles.

The Aren Eggon made the pronouncement of the new titles on Saturday June 22, 2024 during the closing ceremony of the Eid – el Muburak Sallah celebrations, which took place at the Aren Eggon’s palace, Nassarawa Eggon.

The Aren Eggon, while announcing the titles, remarked that the conferment of the Traditional Titles was informed by the loyalty and contributions to the Chiefdom, Palace and development of Eggon Nation generally.

He further reiterated that the beneficiaries of the Traditional Titles that are still in Government service will be presented with their appointment letters after retirement.

Eggonnews observes that some of the titles were vacant following the death of the former holders and were therefore filled, while there was realignment of some titles, and new titles were added.

The new titles announced bring the total number of traditional titles in Eggon land to about 80.
