2023 Eggon Sports, Cultural Festival Climaxes With Thrilling Soccer Finals In Keffi

The 2023 edition of the Eggon Sports and Cultural Festival (ESCAF) has been climaxed with a thrilling soccer final in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The thrilling match which was between Eggon Eagles of Nassarawa Eggon and Eggon United of Keffi, ended 1 – 0 in favour of Eggon Eagles.
Speaking earlier before the match kick-off, the convener of ESCAF, Mr. Anthony Peter Affiku appreciated God for making the 2023 sports and cultural festival a success.
He appreciated all the teams that participated in the competition, urging them to accept whatever was given as the prizes.
He gave assurances that his team will spare no effort to see that the competition grows bigger and better. He also promised to look into the lapses that were experienced during the activities in view of making the necessary corrections and adjustments.
Also speaking, coach of the Eggon Sports and Cultural Festival, Mr Alex Ogbe said although there were lots of challenges during the activities, at the end it was a success. He thanked God and all the participating teams for giving the needed support.
Coach Ogbe had special words for the Eggon Eagles whom he said won the competition despite being their first time registering. He challenged other teams to emulate their sterling performance and professional conduct to make subsequent editions of the sports and cultural festival more competitive and entertaining.
